# Setup Welcome Message

Set up your welcome channel

**1.** Create a channel for the welcome messages if you haven't already.

**2.** Set the channel for the welcome messages.\
**Example:`/welcome channel set #welcome`**

**3.** Edit your channel's settings, and go to the "Permissions" tab.

**4.** From the "Roles/Members" selection, add Sx Bot. 

**5.** Allow Sx Bot to have the following permissions in the channel:

* View Channel
* Send Messages
* Embed Links
* Attach Files
* Use External Emoji

## Set up your welcome message (Optional)

 **1.** Set your own custom message.\
**Example:`/welcome message set Welcome to {SERVER}, {MENTION}!`**

**2.** Use the following keys to insert into your message

## Set an image for the welcome message (Optional)

&#x20;**1.** Set an image for the welcome message. ( Premium only )\
**Example:`/welcome image set <Drag and upload image here>`**

You can also use the built-in help guide the bot offers by using **`/welcome help`** as seen below.
