You can check out or premium perks on our [Patreon](https://patreon.sxlivebot.com). # Getting Started Don't know what to do after inviting Sx Bot to your server? We'll show you how to get started! {% hint style="info" %} You can invite Sx Bot to any server that you have the **Manage Server** permission in. {% endhint %} 1. Go to [invite.sxbot.io](https://invite.sxbot.io). 2. You should a Discord prompt, asking you to add the bot to a server. * Select your server name in the dropdown, and click **Continue**. * Choose the permissions that you want to give Sx Bot. Click **Authorize**. ## The basics After inviting Sx Bot, type**`/help start`** using the slash command system to get general information about the bot. You can use **`/commands`** to view a full list of commands or the [commands](https://sxbot.io/commands) page on the website. {% hint style="info" %} If Sx Bot's slash commands are not displayed in the menu, make sure the @everyone role has access to **"Use Application Commands".** Also, check that you don't have more than 50 bots in **Server Settings -> Integrations -> Bots and Apps.** If you do, you will need to remove a bot and re-authorize Sx Bot by going to [invite.sxbot.io](https://invite.sxbot.io) and clicking **Authorize.** {% endhint %} If you've set up the proper permissions, you'll be sent a message just like this one:
{% hint style="info" %} **Note:** If you see an empty message from Sx Bot with buttons, you've most likely turned off embeds in your Discord settings. From your Discord app, go to **User Settings -> Text & Images** and turn on **Show embeds website preview info from links pasted into chat**. {% endhint %} Type **`/commands`** to view a menu with the bot categories. From here, you can select your category of your choice which will display all commands in that category. Here is an example for the **Nitro Boost Tracking** category. You can then click on the command link directly to run it.
Most of the main features have their own dedicated help pages within this guide, but you can also use the built-in guides the bot provides as seen below. {% hint style="info" %} **/twitch help** (for twitch notifications), **/boost help** (for boost notifications), **/invite help** (for invite tracking), **/reaction help** (for reaction roles), and so on. {% endhint %} # Commands List Sx Bot supports the native slash commands subsystem. All commands start with `/` Type `/` to view a list of slash commands. To setup command permissions, head over to **Server Settings -> Integrations -> Bots and Apps -> Sx Bot.** From here you can search for individual commands, and allow or restrict usage based on roles, members, or channels.

**2.** Test the live notification message.\ **Example:`/twitch test xqc`** *** ## Title Filter & Game Filters **1.** Restrict when Sx Bot sends a notification based on the game being played, category, or keyword in the stream's title.\ **Example: `/twitch edit xqc title-filter No Pixel`** {% hint style="info" %} This is particularly useful for GTA RP/FiveM servers, similar to hasroot, where only streamers who have the keyword in their title will have the notifications displayed. {% endhint %} *** ## Stream Cleanup **1.** Choose whether to edit or delete the stream message when a stream ends.\ **Example: `/twitch edit xqc clean-up edit`** {% hint style="info" %} When you choose the edit option, the announcement message will be edited to an offline message that shows total stream time, and links to the VOD. {% endhint %} *** ## Remove a streamer **1.** Remove a streamer from the streamers list.\ **Example:`/twitch remove xqc`** *** ## View the current streamers list **1.** Show the current twitch streamers list.\ **Example:`/twitch list`** *** ## Notification Cooldowns By default, there are no cooldowns on notifications. That means each time you go live, a notification will be sent to the channel. Some users may prefer to put a delay/cooldown in between notifications in case their stream restarts and rather not send another notification. To enable this, use **`/twitch edit`** and choose the **`cooldown`** option followed by the amount of time such as: **`5m`** for **5 minutes**, or **`1h`** for **1 hour.** You can also use the format **`5 minutes`** or **`1 hour`**. # Stream Cleanup Sx Bot supports stream cleanup in notifications. This allows you to automatically manage the notification message when a streamer ends their Twitch stream. You can delete the live message or edit to show stream details such as total stream time, and link to the VOD, if available. ## How to set up stream cleanup 1. [Invite the bot](https://invite.sxbot.io) if you haven't already. 2. Use the command **`/twitch add`** and choose the **`clean-up`** option to choose whether you want to delete the live message, or edit the message to display stream stats and link to the VOD. 3. All done! Next time your stream ends, the message will either be deleted or edit depending on the option you choose.

# Game and Title Filters Game & Title Filters allow you to customize when the Sx Bot sends live notifications based on the stream's title, game, or category. This feature is particularly useful for larger communities, such as GTA RP/FiveM servers, to filter and manage stream notifications effectively. #### How to Set Up Game & Title Filters 1. **Invite the Bot** * Go to and click on **Add to Discord** to invite it to your server**.** 2. **Add a Twitch or Kick Streamer** * Use the command **`/twitch add`** to add a Twitch streamer or **`/kick add`** to add a Kick streamer to your notifications list. 3. **Choose Filter Options** * Select the **`game-filter`** option to choose from a list of categories/games. * Or select the **`title-filter`** option to set a specific word or phrase, such as **`NoPixel`**. That's it! Your notifications will now be filtered and will only include streams matching the specified games, categories, or words. # Introduction to Live Role How to setup streamer live roles in your Discord server ## What is live role? Live Role allows you to promote streamers in your Discord server by allowing them to receive an automatic role that gets added when someone streams on Twitch. We currently support the following two ways: **Option 1)** Sx Live will detect their purple "streaming" status and add the configured role when they begin their stream. When they lose the streaming status, Sx Live will remove the live role. {% hint style="info" %} This option is better if you want everyone or a large amount of streamers in your server to receive the live role. This also requires them to connect their Twitch account to Discord, and use OBS. If you prefer this option, you will need to add our live bot called [Sx Live](https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=540349742178107409\&permissions=268946536\&scope=bot). You can invite the bot [here](https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=540349742178107409\&permissions=268946536\&scope=bot). {% endhint %} **Option 2)** You will connect individual Discord members to a twitch streamer, and Sx Bot will give the configured role when they begin their stream, and remove it when the stream is over. {% hint style="info" %} This option is better if you only have a few streamers who should receive the live role, they stream on mobile, or they don't have their Twitch account connected to Discord. For this option, you can use Sx Bot directly by using the commands:**`/twitch live-role set`**`and`**`/twitch discord-member connect`** {% endhint %}
# Setup Live Role How to setup automated streamer roles in your Discord server **1.** Create a live role if you haven't already. **2.** Configure the bot to the live role you created.\ **Example:`/twitch live-role set "Now Live" or "Streaming on Twitch"`** {% hint style="warning" %} Make sure the Sx Bot role is above the live you created and the bot has Manage Roles permissions. {% endhint %} **3.** Connect a Discord member to a twitch streamer.\ **Example:`/twitch discord-member connect User#1234 twitchuser123`** {% hint style="success" %} That's all! Once this streamer goes live on Twitch, they will automatically receive a live role, and have it removed once streaming has ended. {% endhint %} {% hint style="info" %} Setting up the live roles this way is particularly helpful if the streamers in your server are using mobile or IRL streaming, where they aren't connecting to Twitch using OBS. If the majority of your servers are using OBS and have their Twitch accounts linked to their Discord account. You may choose to use our streaming bot [Sx Live](https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=540349742178107409\&permissions=268946536\&scope=bot), which doesn't require individual discord members to be connected to twitch streamers as it will automatically detect anyone in your server who is streaming by their purple "streaming" status. {% endhint %} # Add a Reaction Role How to create reaction roles in your Discord server **1.** Add the reaction role\ **Example:`/reaction role add @stream notifications`** {% hint style="info" %} This is the role you want to enable as a reaction role. {% endhint %} **2.** You will be prompted with a message: **`Please react to the message you want the reaction on with the emote you want the reaction role to be triggered with.`** **3.** You will now react to the message of your choice with the emoji of your choice. {% hint style="success" %} Congratulations, all done! The bot is only able to track invites for members who join after you setup Invite logging. For members who joined prior, we are still able to detect some information such as the Server Join Date, but the Invite code and Creator will be unknown as this data is not available to the bot.
